Cricket development with a visible path forward

KivaNura Cricket Academy is based in Suffolk, England. Our coaching model is inspired by one of the clearest ideas in martial arts: progress should be recognised when capability is demonstrated.

A player begins with an assessment, receives a level appropriate to their current skill, and works towards the next badge through purposeful coaching and demonstrated development.

Our academy ethos is deliberately simple. A player should be able to take pride in improvement without making confidence dependent on today's score, one dismissal or one difficult session.

Capability, not time served​

A level is not awarded because a player has attended a certain number of sessions. Age, club experience and occasional impressive outcomes do not automatically establish capability.

Players progress when they can demonstrate the required standard with sufficient consistency.

Current coaching focus​

The academy currently focuses on:

  • batting;
  • fast bowling;
  • off-spin;
  • leg-spin.

Fielding and wicketkeeping pathways are planned for later development.

Our coaching methodology​

The detailed drills, assessment standards, progression criteria and coaching methods behind the KivaNura level system are proprietary academy material. Public pages describe the journey, philosophy and benefits while our coaches use the detailed framework internally to plan and assess development.
